More Good Ahead has always been about supporting charities that deserve all the support in the world.
Scroll down to learn about the current charities we are supporting, and come back to see which organizations we feature in the future.

The Arc

The mission of The Arc is "Promoting and protecting the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively supporting their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes." As an aspiring Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician and someone who works a lot with people with disabilities, this organization means a lot to me and is doing incredible work to support the autonomy, health, and lives of people with disabilities.

(People Assisting
the Homeless)

PATH states that its mission is "ending homelessness for individuals, families, and communities. We do this by building affordable housing and providing supportive services throughout California." They have helped over 13,500 people find permanent homes in California through many outreach efforts and effective programs, Having lived in both Chicago and LA in the middle of the cities, homelessness has always been a very prominent issue in my life. This organization is taking a unique, hands-on approach to actually make a difference in the lives of individuals.

The LA LGBT Center

The mission of the Los Angeles LGBT Center is "building a world where LGBT people thrive as healthy, equal, and complete members of society." The Center has "nearly 800 employees [that] provide services for more LGBT people than any other organization in the world, offering programs, services, and global advocacy that span four broad categories: Health, Social Services, and Housing, Culture and Education, Leadership and Advocacy." As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community myself and also someone going into healthcare in the future, the mission of this organization is very close to my heart.

(Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective)

The Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective (BEAM) is "a collective of advocates, yoga teachers, artists, therapists, lawyers, religious leaders, teachers, psychologists and activists committed to the emotional/mental health and healing of Black communities." They "envision a world where there are no barriers to Black healing." As a person that is able to benefit from mental health resources myself, I know just how valuable and crucial they are. More Good Ahead started back in April 2020 raising money for organizations leading the BLM movement, and it is so important to me to keep supporting BIPOC communities even when media coverage dies down.
